Whachu know ’bout Cheerfest?… Video!
Cheerfest was started several years ago to add an bit of extra spirit to the already insane homecoming week festivities. If you remember homecomings of years past, the creative lunch assemblies and dress-up days are still in effect, but gone are the pre-game floats and dance routines on the football field. They have since been replaced by a lip sync contest and… Cheerfest! If you haven’t seen it before, its pretty unreal. Each class is required to come up with a cheer and perform it in front of the other classes prior to kickoff on gameday. All unplugged, no stereos. The energy is awesome and the classes really get into it. Big shout out to Kirk Uejio ‘98, Student Activities Director… he does an incredible job. Iolani seems so much more fun these days…
