Paul Ah Yat ‘91: Back in Baseball?
Paul Ah Yat ‘91 (shown, Star Bulletin ‘96), former Triple-A pitcher for the Pittsburgh Pirates, returned to the baseball diamond on Saturday to play as a member of the UH Alumni team against the ‘07 Bows in the annual “Alumni” game. The turnout, much like the 13-1 result, wasn’t great for the alumni team who fielded a team of only 12 players, 3 of whom were pitchers.
Paul, though, showed he still “got it”, pitching one scoreless inning and going 1-1 with a hit off of UH ace Ian Harrington.

Listed on the 2007 UH roster is right-handed pitcher Rich Olsen ‘02 who finished the 2006 season with a record of 1-0 with 1 save and an ERA of 1.59. Rich is currently recovering from Tommy John surgery and will miss the entire season.
