Iolani Basketball: Whatta Game! Whatta Game!

It was really ugly for three and half quarters… got a little better with four minutes left… and then it got OH SO PRETTY. Senior Ryan Dung closed out a stellar fourth quarter with a high arching three pointer from the left corner with 1.6 seconds remaining to send the Raiders back to Kamoku Street with a one point win over the Kamehameha Warriors.

The final 1-point margin was only the second lead of the game for Iolani who started the game at 2-0. The Raiders are now 6-1 in the ILH and in a first place tie with Punahou. Iolani will play its next game at Damien and then return home for their final four games, closing the ILH season with Punahou on Thursday, February 8th.

In case you missed it, the Iolani vs. Kamehameha game will be rebroadcast on OC16 on Sunday, January 28th at 10:30am (according to the OC16 website, so make sure to tune in. (Don’t waste your time with the first three and half quarters… just watch the last four minutes.)
