2008 Volleyball State Tournament: Iolani opens play today
Update: Iolani def. Waianae 25-18, 25-20 and advanced to the semifinals tonight against Kamehameha-Oahu at 7:00pm at Kamehameha-Maui. Punahou will face Roosevelt in the other semifinal.
Update: Iolani def. Mililani 25-16, 25-21. The Raiders will face OIA Champion Waianae today in a quarterfinal matchup at 7:00pm at Kamehameha-Maui.
The Iolani Boys Volleyball team will face Mililani in the opening round of the 2008 Hawaii Volleyball State tournament. The game will begin at 5:30pm on the Kamehameha-Maui campus.
As the second place team in the ILH with a record of 12-4, the Raiders are unseeded and will need three big wins to advance to the finals for a potential rematch with top-seeded Punahou. The Buffanblu have won 27 of the 38 state titles in boys volleyball, including the last three. Iolani won in 2004.
