Volleyball Magazine: Brad Lawson named Fab 50 Captain
Named the 2008 Volleyball Boys Fab 50 Captain (the best player in the country), Iolani standout Brad Lawson ‘08 is featured on the cover of the July 2008 issue of Volleyball Magazine.
He has already committed to play for Stanford next season and will join former teammate Kawika Shoji ‘06 as one of six Hawaii players on the 2008-09 roster. This summer Lawson will compete as a member of Team USA on the U.S. Men’s Junior National Team.
Off the court, Lawson carries a 3.9 grade point average and was the recent recipient of the Walter Goo Trophy which is given to the those members of the graduating class who combine the qualities of outstanding athletic ability and high academic achievement. He is also the lead singer and keyboard player for Summasounds, his own alternative/reggae band. Watch them at the 2008 Family Fair »

Iolani Volleyball Team ranked 4th in the Rivals.com 2008 National Fab 50 Poll
After capturing the 2008 Hawaii State Championship, the Iolani Boys Volleyball team earned a #4 ranking in the final Rivals.com Fab 50 national poll. The Raiders ended the season at 26-2 with their only two losses coming to Punahou during the ILH regular season.
